Law school is a WHOPPING big decision. This book (along with several others) helped me decide NOT to go - and I've not regretted the decision. While there are other books like this, this one was one of the better ones (I read almost a dozen).

Comprehensive book

Having had a chance to meet the talented Mr. Niewoehner during one of his recent autograph session/book reading at my local Jimbo's Bookwormania, I must confess that I was overwhelmed by is wonderous outlook on life and on law school. I found him, much like his book, to be an inspirational journey into legalistics. I, too, would someday love to attend that institution of institutions, Harvard Law School, and I believe that reading Mr. Niewoehner's book twice or perhaps even three times will start me in the right direction. It is, indeed, what I like to call a "must read" for the lawyers of the future!Yusuf Paradisi

I thought the book, notably the law school section, was superbly researched and written. A true must-read for anyone considering law school and a legal career.Currently attending a top law school myself, I thought some of the earlier reviews characterizing the book as "generic" or "common" were way off the mark and likely written by dumb poo-poo heads who went to state schools.

This book is fine if you need ideas for what to put in a infuser water pitcher but isn't really that necessary. I feel like it is mostly common sense. Reading it once might give you some good ideas of combinations or things to try, but frankly I don't look back at this book ever. I got some good ideas to start with but it seems like I mostly just stick in whatever I happen to have on hand (I do love having an infuser though!)I received this book for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

I have to say, I am very impressed with this book. There is a lot of information packed into the 200+ pages. I love the different sections on what you might be looking for in your fruit-infused water, like vitamin-rich infusions, energizing infusions, or even herbal infusions. I especially like the recipe for strawberry-citrus infused water and raspberry-peach-pineapple infused water. You really don't have to have a fruit-infusion pitcher to utilize this book either. You can just use any jar or even a regular pitcher, but if you are in the market to buy a fruit-infusion pitcher, there is even a section to help you out with that! It's nice that there is a measurement conversion section also, because if you find recipes that use grams, you can convert that into ounces, or vice-versa. The fruit-infused water actually tastes better the longer you leave it in the refrigerator. This book even tells you how to use your fruit for snacks instead of throwing it away when you take it out of your water. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves their fruit-infused water! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Although I purchased this book to go along with a infusion pitcher that I was extremely disappointed with, I enjoyed this book and the recipes and insight to the fruit combinations this book provides. Granted, I will not be using my pitcher as ideally made for, I do plan on juicing the fruit so to speak to give me the stronger flavors I desire and the book is a great resource to provide great flavor combinations of fruit with mouth-watering recipes. I only gave the book 3 stars because one would have to be in the market for solely fruit infused water recipes, which not everyone is. I am sure that a lot of these recipes could have been obtained online for free. However, if one was to indeed be interested in purchasing a flavor infusing pitcher of some sort - than this book is a must have and should be ordered with that pitcher as well. I do look forward to trying more recipes in this book.I was reimbursed for the price of this book to give an honest and truthful review.

You can google this stuff (which is what I did when I got my own infusion pitcher...cucumber basil, strawberry mint, etc., just the basics), but there's something to be said about having pages to turn and a place to jot down notes (yes, I'm a Millennial). It wasn't until I got this book and an infusion pitcher as Christmas presents for my mom, thinking the book might inspire her to actually use the pitcher, that I realized how many creative and delicious ideas I was missing due to a lack of desire to spend more time hopping from webpage to webpage trying to find something that was remotely mouthwatering (who wants to spend more time looking at a computer screen after doing that for 8 hours at work. The fact that I'm spending more time after work writing this review is a testimony to how much I like it). The book has some PHENOMENAL, creative (yet simple!) recipes and worthwhile overviews of various health aspects of infusion ingredients. I'm buying this book a second time for myself! It's compact, informative, visually pleasing, inspirational, and chock full of delicious recipes. Hooray!

I just got two infusers, and this book really came in handy. It is small and easy to understand. There are more recipes in it than anything else, I think maybe ten pages are devoted to infusion and the rest is all recipes. The recipes are all broken down into categories, and the index will help you find what you are looking for.I do wish they had more fruits in the single section. I wanted specifically a raspberry recipe and wasn't sure how much to get. I just ended up using the blackberry recipes to guess quantities.

My favorite part is Wild Infusions where author gives recipes that you’ll think are deserts; e.g., banana split infusion and Lemon Pie infusion.Once you go through these recipes you can come up with so many of your own. The bars each have their own subtle, classy mix of varnished wood, stainless steel, and glass - subtle and classy would also be a good way of describing Jeffreys’s narration, as he's very much in the know as he pulls from an elegant history of bars and speakeasys, and introduces the clear line of a bar, the smooth swoop of an archway, a liquor bottle, a banquette seat, or a pendant light. James G. Speight is a senior fuel consultant as well as an Adjunct Professor of Chemical and Fuels Engineering at the University of Utah, USA. He is also the author/editor/compiler of more than 25 books and bibliographies related to fossil fuel processing and environmental issues. Speight was Chief Scientific Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of the Western Research Institute, Laramie, WY, USA, from 1984 to 2000. During this period he led a staff of more that 150 scientists, engineers, and technicians in developing new technology for gas processing, petroleum, shale oil, tar sand bitumen, and asphalt. Speight has considerable expertise in evaluating new technologies for patentability and commercial application. As a result of his work, he was awarded the Diploma of Honor, National Petroleum Engineering Society, for outstanding contributions to the petroleum industry in 1995 and the Gold Medal of Russian Academy of Sciences (Natural) for outstanding work in the area of petroleum science in 1996. This book is a great tutorial book, but I couldn't give it 5 stars for a few reasons. The most frustrating is that you need to download some files from the book's website in order to complete some of the tutorial sections, and those files are not included on the downloads available for this version of the book. For example, the steel angle in the detailing chapter is missing. Upon realizing that a lot of the included files are saved in previous versions (due to Revit upgrading the files when they are loaded in) I went hunting for the webpages for previous versions of the book and found the file I was missing in the version for 2015, and had to find the corresponding chapter in 2015 that applied to that section (because they reorganized), to get the detail needed. Not cool. Instead finishing my tutorial section in the 30 minutes I had alotted I just got to hunt down a file and be prompted to write this review.The second reason is although the tutorials are easy to follow, it's not a great reference book. Starting on my first project after going through the book I found it a little hard to go back and find some of the things I knew I needed to be doing. Ideally, it would serve as a good reference too, but it looks like another book or the internet will have to do.Also, some of the things included as "Bonus Chapters" are essential in my opinion, like site features and wall types. I think they were trying to keep the book length reasonable, and they were included for download, so I can forgive this.That said, I went from knowing nothing about Revit to feeling fairly confident I can start putting some simple projects together. The instructions were easy to follow and the included figures were appropriate for each section. All in all, would recommend for anyone starting out in Revit.

The title says it all. You really don't need much CAD experience to use this book. True, REVIT is much more use-friendly than AutoCAD. Still, the software can be intimidating because it assumes you are an architect or an engineer. The book goes through a logical sequence. Like a real building, the book takes you on a journey from simple floorplan to a sophisticated building with doors, windows, and roofs. It even helps you create custom stairs. Fantastic job!

I took a Revit class a few years ago and still felt comfortable with the interface, but had forgotten a lot of the ins and outs of the commands. I think this book is great, the chapters are a little long, but they are well written and provide plenty of snapshots to make sure you are doing what you are supposed to. It's written in a way where someone brand new or a professional using it as a reference for specific commands can benefit greatly.

Hard copy version. Overall it's a good book for a beginner. I didn't really follow the book tutorials but applied them to whatever assignment I had going on in class. Is it the best? Probably not, depends if you want to spend $30 vs. $70.

I expected more. Nothing is mentioned about how to draw 3D parts or how to insert objects. Drawing walls in Revit is no big secret. Spend your money on a book that shows y'all how to work with families and objects instead. 23 dollars of donut money shot to hell.

The paperback is in black and white. You need color photos to understand what's going on. The only way to read this well is to buy it on kindle, then read it online.

Definitely a good book for a beginner, but I would not rely on it solely. Use it in conjunction with other beginner books.

Very good learning text, although there needs to be some clarification on certain topics.
