Please do not buy this. This is the equivalent of a high school sophomore writing a report on 3-D printing after a few hours of web surfing. The images were taken directly from the web without copyright. The grammar and spelling is horrific ("Licence"?) and the chapters are scattered and shallow.It is also highly inaccurate, with sweeping statements that fail to distinguish between what is generally referred to as “3-D printingâ€, which is fused filament modeling, and the more precise industrial methods of additive manufacturing, such as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Stereolithography (SLA).While the numerous examples may be fascinating to those new to additive manufacturing, there is little practical information in this book that could be used to make sound technical or business decisions about entering the 3-Printing market. Very useful, similarly short books would be “The Book on 3D Printing†by Budmen and Rotolo and “Make: Ultimate Guide to 3D Printingâ€.
This book is a clear and concise review of the 3D Printing Revolution. The author uses industry terminology and helps the reader to understand what these terms refer to. It is an excellent book and a great introduction to the 3D printing world without overwhelming the casual reader. If you want to learn more about 3D printing, pick this book up and take a look!

While it may still be illegal to literally PRINT money with a 3D printer, it's clear that expertise in 3D printing is going to be a very valuable asset in coming years. Anton's book is an excellent primer for anyone looking to get started in the 3D printing revolution.I used it to kick-start a project of my own, and have already successfully 3D-printed a number of small toys and other items. Great read...this is something my husband has been very interested in. This book answered the vast majority of the questions that I had about 3D printing. Worth the read.
If you know nothing about 3D printing than this book is for you. Otherwise I would recomment - dont bother buying it.
