Second part of the book explains how to use proper foods, medicinal herbs and some home remedies to deal with autoimmunity and relieve the symptoms.One thing that really interested me is the chronic inflammation that is - sometimes secretly - caused by this disease. Many people have chronic inflammation in their bodies and they are most often not even aware of it. The book nicely explains what you can do about it.All in all, this a great guide book on autoimmunity with a lot useful information on how to deal with it.
This book includes all the information you need to know about autoimmune disease. I love how Carmen explains exactly what autoimmune disease is, what the root causes are, and how to prevent it. The book is very nicely written and well organized.

Great book to the intro and understanding of autoimmune disease. Find a functional medicine doc who can help you navigate through all of this....just following a book won't be enough but this terrific book will point you in the right direction.
This book is nothing more than a compilation of information that the author likely found on Wikipedia. A Google search would have netted the same result. Glad I didn't pay for it but disappointed that I wasted my Prime rental for the month on it. There is no concrete science in this book, but merely a host of suggestions or recommendations with the warning "see your healthcare provider for specific instructions" after each one.
This book is an excellent beginning guide to complex conditions. It is very well-written book which informs but does not prescribe.
